Behaviorists & Trainers
Better Behavior Starts with Better Support
Animal behaviorists and trainers work at the intersection of science and daily life — helping pets and their families build lasting, healthy relationships. Whether you're addressing reactivity, separation anxiety, aggression, or basic obedience, your work keeps pets in homes and out of shelters.
Tails Co-Op gives behavior professionals access to cooperative pricing on diagnostics, preventive care, and a community of peers — so you can focus on what you do best.
What Behaviorist & Trainer Members Get
Smarty Tests Access — Order diagnostics at cooperative member pricing. Thyroid panels, metabolic screens, and pain-related bloodwork can help rule out medical causes of behavioral issues — a critical first step that's often skipped due to cost.
Cooperative Pricing on Preventive Care — Calming supplements, nutritional products, and wellness care at bulk cooperative rates. Many behavior cases have underlying health or nutritional components that respond to the right support.
Circle Community — Connect with other trainers and behaviorists, share case approaches (anonymized), discuss certification paths, and learn from professionals using different methodologies. A valuable network whether you're CPDT-KA, CAAB, or self-taught.
Professional Resources — Access educational materials on behavior modification techniques, pharmacology basics for behavior cases, fear-free handling, and client communication strategies.
Why Behaviorists Belong in This Co-Op
Behavior professionals are often the last stop before surrender. When a family is struggling with a pet's behavior, affordability of both training and veterinary diagnostics can determine whether that pet stays in the home. By giving trainers access to affordable diagnostics, Tails Co-Op helps you offer a more complete picture to your clients — and increases the chances of a successful outcome.
For certified applied animal behaviorists working under or alongside veterinarians, cooperative pricing on diagnostics means you can recommend bloodwork and health screens without worrying about cost barriers for your clients.
